The cheapest way to get a website up and running if you don’t want to spend much money is create a free website with wordpress.com
With the free website you will get a free sub-domain ( If you want to add your own unique domain name you can do this too with this free site: just buy one from the options later): of course the disadvantages are: less control and some adverts.
Advert free is another option. You just pay some more.
How do I fit in?
I can create a website that has more bells and whistles and is focused on your needs. We have to talk and work out what works for you and it takes time. It then has to be regularly maintained and hosted. It costs a lot more.
It generally takes longer than you think and can cost a lot of money, but by using existing designs and modifying them and working with existing software and fixes it doesn’t have to be a fortune.
If I do work for you I like to take an interest in the business as a whole and it’s image and marketing; if I don’t understand your business, how can I create the appropriate showcase for it on the web?
How much does it cost?
I sometimes do barter deals. I sometimes do it for free, but it has to be a really compelling reason. Generally you’re looking at over a £1000 ( sometimes a lot more) and a yearly hosting and maintenance of at least £150, plus any changes or additions.
